Trigger point therapy is an essential tool for the massage therapist. In this course you will receive a firm foundation in the physiology of Myofascial trigger points, including how to communicate your findings to your client. You will learn the most common anatomic locations for trigger points. In the hands-on sessions you will learn basic assessment and trigger point deactivation methods.

Prerequisites include Trigger Point 1 or Sports Massage 1 or demonstration of similar core competency.

This course will share in-depth palpation and treatment techniques for treating Myofascial Trigger point dysfunction. Simple yet effective neuromuscular reeducation strategies such as positional release, PNF, stretching are incorporated into the course. This is a 90% lab course.
